This DTC is stored when items controlled by the certification ECU cannot be customized via the navigation system vehicle customization screen.

HINT:

The certification ECU controls the smart access system with push-button start (for Entry Function) related items that are customizable via the multi-display assembly screen.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one.

    If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:

    • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.
    • The radio receiver assembly may not operate normally.
  • Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to smart access system with push-button start (for Entry Function) Precaution.

HINT:

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System.

1.

CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

OK:

CAN communication DTCs are not output.

NG

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

CHECK SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Entry Function)

(a) Check if the smart access system with push-button start (for Entry Function) is malfunctioning.

HINT:

Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the smart access system with push-button start (for Entry Function).

OK:

No malfunctions are present in the smart access system with push-button start (for Entry Function).

3.

CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS

(a) Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.

(b) Make a note of the customizable items for each certification ECU related system.

HINT:

These items shown as customizable via the navigation system vehicle customization screen can also be changed manually. In a following step, a manual procedure will be used.

(1) Check the customize parameters list for the smart access system with push-button start (for Entry Function) related items that can be customized via the multi-display assembly screen.

(c) Manually change and confirm that it was possible to successfully change the settings of the customize parameters for each system that are available for customization via the multi-display assembly screen.

OK:

The items available for customization via the multi-display assembly screen can be customized successfully using the manual procedure.
