PROCEDURE
1. CLEAN BACK DOOR GLASS
(a) Clean the outer edge of the back door glass with non-residue solvent. NOTICE:

2. INSTALL NO. 3 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
(a) Apply Primer G to the installation part of the No. 3 back window glass spacer. HINT: If primer is applied to an area that is not specified, wipe off the primer with non-residue solvent before it dries. NOTICE:

(b) Remove the peeling paper and install a new No. 3 back window glass spacer on the back door glass as shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL NO. 4 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the No. 3 back window glass spacer.
4. INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER
(a) Apply Primer G to the installation part of the back door glass spacers. HINT: If primer is applied to an area that is not specified, wipe off the primer with non-residue solvent before it dries. NOTICE:

(b) Install 2 new back door glass spacers on the back door glass as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Install the back door glass spacer after Primer G has been allowed to dry (approx. 3 min.)
5. INSTALL BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING
(a) Using a brush or sponge, coat the application area of a new windshield outside moulding with Primer G as shown in the illustration.

6. INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS

(a) Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.
(1) On the contact surface of the vehicle body, use a knife to cut away excess adhesive as shown in the illustration.
Standard:

NOTICE:
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
(2) Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with cleaner.
HINT:
Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the vehicle body.
(b) Position the back door glass.
(1) Using suction cups, place the back door glass in the correct position.
(2) Check that the entire contact surface of the glass rim is perfectly even.
(3) Place matchmarks on the back door glass and vehicle body at the locations indicated in the illustration. NOTICE: Check that the stoppers are attached to the vehicle body correctly. |

(4) Using suction cups, remove the back door glass.
(5) Using a brush, apply Primer M to the exposed part of the vehicle body.

(e) Load the sealer gun with the cartridge.
HINT:
After cutting off the tip, use all adhesive within the time described in the table below.

(f) Apply adhesive to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Apply the adhesive after Primer G has been allowed to dry (approx. 3 min.).
(g) Install the back door glass to the vehicle body.
(1) Using suction cups, position the back door glass so that the matchmarks are aligned, and press it in gently along the rim. NOTICE:

(2) Lightly press the front surface of the back door glass to ensure that the back door glass is securely fit to the vehicle body.
HINT:
Press the glass with force of 98 N (10 kgf, 22.0 lbf) or more.
(3) Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.
NOTICE:
Apply adhesive to the glass rim.
(4) Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.
(5) Hold the back door glass using protective tape until the applied adhesive becomes hard.
NOTICE:
Do not drive the vehicle for the time described in the table below.

(h) Connect the rear window defogger connector.
(i) Install the ground wire with the bolt.
(j) Attach the 2 clamps.
7. CHECK FOR LEAKS AND REPAIR
(a) After the adhesive has hardened, apply water from the outside of the vehicle. Check that no water leaks into the cabin.
(b) If water leaks into the cabin, allow the water to dry and add adhesive.
(c) Remove the protective tape.
