INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)

HINT:

  • When installing a new back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch), if there is a rope on the assembly, remove the rope before installation.
  • The rope can be removed from the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) by pulling either one of the 2 ends.

(a) w/o Power Back Door:

(1) Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch).

(2) Install the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) with the 3 bolts.

Torque:

13 N·m {133 kgf·cm, 10 ft·lbf}

(3) Connect the connector.

(b) w/ Power Back Door:

(1) Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch).

(2) Install the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) with the 4 bolts.

Torque:

13 N·m {133 kgf·cm, 10 ft·lbf}

(3) Connect the connector and attach the clamp.
