INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH

(a) Check that the power switch is off.

(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

(c) Attach the guide and hold the door side airbag sensor LH in place.

(d) Install the bolt.

Torque:

9.0 N·m {92 kgf·cm, 80 in·lbf}

NOTICE:

  • If the door side airbag sensor LH has been dropped, replace it with a new one.
  • When installing the door side airbag sensor LH, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is not pinched between other parts.
  • Tighten the bolt while holding the door side airbag sensor LH because the door side airbag sensor LH guide is easily damaged.

(e) Before connecting the airbag connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

(f) Connect the airbag connector.

NOTICE:

When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(1) While holding the CPA, be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked and check that the CPA is in its original position (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

NOTICE:

Do not push down the upper part of the CPA shown in the illustration when connecting the airbag connector.

(g) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the door side airbag sensor LH.

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

3. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side)

4. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER LH

Click here

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

(a) Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

Torque:

5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}

8. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

HINT:

When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

9. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH

11. INSTALL NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

12. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
