DESCRIPTION

  • The forward recognition camera receives signals from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) corresponding to the brake control status via the CAN communication line.
  • When a brake control system malfunction signal is received from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), the forward recognition camera outputs U041881.

Once 3 seconds elapse after turning the power switch on (IG), the forward recognition camera receives a brake control system malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) for approximately 1 second or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform forward recognition camera adjustment.

    HINT:

    Forward recognition camera adjustment can be performed by using either "One Time Recognition" or "Sequential Recognition".

CHECK ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM

(a) Check the DTCs.

Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are not output.

HINT:

If U041881 is output in the pre-collision system, electronically controlled brake system DTCs may also have been output. Check the electronically controlled brake system first.
