What | Vehicle model, system name |
When | Date, time, occurrence frequency, whether the problem occurred recently or has been occurring for a long time |
Where | Whether the problem occurs at a specific location |
Under what conditions? | Whether the power switch was on (IG), whether the hybrid control system was started |
How did it happen? | Problem symptoms* |
If the symptoms occurred immediately after purchase or only recently.
If the symptoms occurred even when the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly was near the vehicle (electrical key antenna).
If the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is being placed within 1 m (3.28 ft.) of items such as TVs, DVD recorders, induction cookers, rice cookers, dishwashers, modems, cell phones, personal computers, microwave ovens, desk or floor lamps, cordless telephones, etc.
The transmitter battery can be checked using the "Key Low Battery" item in the Data List.

3. | PRE-CHECK |
(a) Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V (IG OFF)
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.
(b) Check the fuses and relays.
(c) Check the connector connections and terminals to make sure that there are no abnormalities such as loose connections, deformation, etc.
