DESCRIPTION

When therear window defogger switch (mirror heater switch) is operated, a mirror heater signal is sent to the air conditioning amplifier assembly via LIN communication. The air conditioning amplifier assembly sends the signal to the outer mirror control ECU assembly via CAN communication. The outer mirror control ECU assembly operates the outer rear view mirror assembly mirror heater based on the received signal.

  • If the auxiliary battery voltage becomes low, mirror heater operation is canceled to prioritize supplying power to the power steering system.

CHECK POWER STEERING SYSTEM

(a) Check the power steering system operation.

CHECK WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM

(a) Check the window defogger system operation.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (MIRROR HEATER FUNCTION)
