OPERATION CHECK
INSPECT ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION
NOTICE:
Perform this inspection with the customizable parameters set to the initial settings.
HINT:
When inspecting the following functions, make sure that the map light switch and spot light switch are in the DOOR position.
(a) The interior light control illuminates the lights below.

(b) The operations and operating conditions of this control are described below.
Operation | Condition |
Lights fade in and illuminate constantly | Any door is opened when all the doors are closed. |
Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out | When any of the following conditions is met: -
The key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area when the power switch is off and all the doors are closed.*
-
Any door is unlocked when the power switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked.
-
The power switch is turned from on (ACC) to off when all doors are closed.
-
The state changes from any of the doors being opened to all doors being closed.

Lights fade out immediately | When either of the following conditions is met: -
The power switch is turned from off to on (ACC) when all the doors are closed.
-
All the doors are locked when the power switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked.

INSPECT INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION
NOTICE:

(a) The interior illumination light control illuminates the lights below.

Operation | Condition |
Lights fade in and illuminate constantly | -
Any door is opened when all the doors are closed.

Lights illuminate approximately 3 seconds after power switch is turned on (ACC).
-
The power switch is turned from off to on (IG).

Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out | When any of the following conditions is met: -
Any door is unlocked when the power switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked.
-
The power switch is turned from on (ACC) to off when all doors are closed.
-
The state changes from any of the doors being opened to all doors being closed.
|
Lights fade out immediately | All the doors are locked when the power switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked. |
INSPECT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION

Lights fade out slowly | All the doors are locked when the power switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked. |
Lights fade out | Lights turn off immediately after power switch is turned on (IG) or (ACC). (fade-out in approximately 1 second) |
