Front Recognition Camera Outside Guaranteed Operating Temperature

History of forward recognition camera being temporarily unavailable due to high temperature or low temperature

  1. Using the Techstream, check the following items for the front recognition camera in the Data List.

    • Front Recognition Camera Low Temperature
    • Front Recognition Camera High Temperature 1
  2. If the display value for the Data List check items are displayed as "High Temperature" or "Low Temperature", perform the procedures listed in the diagnostic notes.

Cause:
  • The forward recognition camera is in one of the following conditions
    • When the ambient temperature is approximately -30°C (-22°F) or less, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely cold environment
    • When the ambient temperature is approximately 80°C (176°F) or higher, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely hot environment

Front Recognition Camera Outside Guaranteed Operating Voltage

History of forward recognition camera being temporarily unavailable due to low voltage or high voltage

  • Check the power supply voltage (IGB) of the forward recognition camera. For terminals to check and standard values, click here.

  • If the power supply voltage was within the standard value, the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
Cause:
  • The forward recognition camera is in one of the following conditions
    • When the input voltage is approximately 8 V or less, immediately after starting the hybrid system
    • When the input voltage is approximately 16 V or higher, immediately after starting the hybrid system
