SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM (Illuminated Entry System)

HINT:

When inspecting the following functions, make sure that the map light switch and spot light switch are in the DOOR position.

(a) The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

Lighting

*1: Dims (slightly dark illumination)

*2: w/ Navigation System

*3: The map light assembly and spot light assembly both dim (slightly dark illumination). Also, the No. 1 interior illumination light assembly illuminates.

Actuation Area-linked

When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the items listed to the right turn on.

  • Map light assembly*1
  • Spot light assembly*1
  • Power switch illumination
  • Front door outside handle assembly LH
  • Front door outside handle assembly RH
  • Rear door outside handle assembly LH
  • Rear door outside handle assembly RH

Door Lock/Unlock-linked*3

When any door is unlocked, the items listed to the right turn on.

  • Map light assembly
  • Spot light assembly
  • Power switch illumination
  • Front door outside handle assembly LH
  • Front door outside handle assembly RH
  • Rear door outside handle assembly LH
  • Rear door outside handle assembly RH
  • Remote operation controller assembly*2

When all doors are locked, the items listed to the right turn off.

Door Open/Close-linked

Power Switch-linked

When the power switch is turned from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off, the items listed to the right turn on.

When the power switch is turned from off to on (ACC) or on (IG) the items listed to the right turn on.

BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) The battery saving control system has the following control functions:

Interior light auto cut function

The illumination of the items listed on the right will turn off 20 minutes after the power switch is turned off, regardless of whether the doors are open or closed and regardless of the map light and spot light switch position.
